Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the United States. She previously worked as an anchor for TV on ABC News.
She is well-known for her work as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend
from 2014 to 2018 as well as being co-host of The View from 2015 to in 2018. In
the past, she anchors World News Now as well as America This Morning. After
graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an
operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. The position
she held was in sales for radio, due to limited television opportunities. She
was recruited as a WKEF/WRGT production assistant. Later, she became a reporter
and anchor. She was the weekend anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati as well as the
weekday anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati between 2002 and 2005. The contract was
ended and she was a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago,
from November 2005 through December 2011. In December 2011 she was hired by ABC
News which is the division for news of ABC. The 2nd of January, 2012, she
debuted on the network's World News Now and America This Morning. In this
period, she appeared as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as an anchor.
Later, she was promoted to a New York-based correspondent for all ABC News
programs. She hosted America This Morning and World News Now's final show on
January 22, 2013. She debuted on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor,
August 9, 2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. News. Her
contract was renewed by ABC to run the 20th season on August 3. Season 21 was
also renewed with the co-hosting role. She was most often seen on episodes on
Fridays in the 21st and 22nd seasons.
