Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was born to actresses Melissa D. Canaday, and Edward James Hyland in New York City. At the age of 4, she started in the industry with voiceovers and commercial work. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection was her next film. Sarah was a part of in Another World (1964), as Rain Wolfe, a child who was found in the park and fostered by Josie. Sarah was to work with Amy Carlson ("Josie") a few more times: Falcone (2000). Law & Order (1990). Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was chosen to play one of the younger "Audrey Hepburns" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) in the same year that she was also cast in the role of "Molly" on ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999) featuring Kathy Bates, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Victor Garber and Kristin Chenoweth. After being taught at home by her mom, she went to public school through second grade. Sarah was accepted in 6th year to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) which she attended until 2008 when she graduated. Sarah was 18 when she moved to Los Angeles. She landed an aircraft named "My American Family" within two weeks. Once she was accepted and the pilot's name changed into Modern Family (2009). Sarah currently portrays Haley Dunphy, the oldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) won many awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
